For our project for the conservation of Loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) on the island Boavista, Cape Verde, we currently offer the following open positions:

For our Boavista project we are searching for a project manager for coordinating our scientific field work. You will be responsible for the implementation of the field work and data collection of all project sites and report to the scientific director of the Turtle Foundation. You will train and guide the field staff together with a field supervisor assisting you and manage the database of all collected data. After the nesting season, you will prepare a technical report. For our Boavista project we are searching for a project manager in the fields of general administration, logistics, and public relations. You will be responsible for human resource management, logistics and maintenance of technical equipment at all project sites and will report to the Turtle Foundation’s Project Director. In addition, you will be responsible for reporting and public relations on all project activities. We are looking for ambitious individuals who will be responsible for the supervision of the sea turtle conservation work at one of our conservation camp sites on Boavista, Cape Verde. The duration of the job is from 1 June until 31 October 2019. Language skills in Portuguese and English are required. Previous expertise in turtle conservation is mandatory. Field coordinators will be working together with camp coordinators in teams of two and be responsible for managing all aspects of field work carried out on the beach, including scheduling patrols, census, and hatchery, data collection and data entry, training and supervising of rangers and volunteers, etc. The camp and field coordinator team will work under the supervision of the project managers.
