The Turtle Foundation is an association of seven legally independent organisations. It is represented in Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the USA, the UK, Indonesia and the Republic of Cape Verde. In all these countries, the Turtle Foundation is tax-exempt and recognised by the state as a non-profit organisation. Its international office is located in Cologne.
The Turtle Foundation Friends e.V. is a non-profit, tax-exempt association under German law based in Oberreifenberg. Its members support the work of the Turtle Foundation both financially and ideologically.
