The Turtle Foundation currently operates two boats in the Derawan archipelago. Due to the remoteness of the islands the regular use of boats for both patrolling activities as well as supply, maintenance and transport of personnel can not be avoided. Unfortunately the costs per hour to run a boat are high. In fact those costs are a major part of our expenses for the projects.
You have the opportunity to become the sponsor of one of our boats on an annual basis.
