Why does the Turtle Foundation exist? The Turtle Foundation stands up for the worldwide protection of sea turtles in a carefully directed way.
What does the Turtle Foundation do? Increased efforts are necessary to create more awareness of the acute threat that sea turtles are at the brink of their irrevocable and irreversible extinction. Conservation projects are being deployed and implemented to prevent the extinction of these "dinosaurs of the seas".
Which projects are undertaken by the Turtle Foundation? The Foundation deliberately focuses on realizable projects of a manageable size. We are currently running several projects in Indonesia. Further we support the Indonesian organization ProFauna fighting against the daily slaughtering of turtles in Bali.
What is the feature of the Turtle Foundation? The foundation is a very small organization without any heavy administration apparatus and is therefore extremely flexible and efficient.
How is the Turtle Foundation financed? The foundation is exclusively financed by donations and therefore entirely dependent on support from sponsors and donors.
